2018 Apopka Area Political Hob Nob & Straw Poll

On Tuesday, July 10, 2018 the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce held its 2018 Apopka Area Political Hob Nob & Straw Poll at the Apopka Community Center . We had over 27 candidates who participated, along with several groups who are supporting various ballot initiatives. With over 350 people in attendance, this Hob Nob was one of the most successful events in recent history!
We are grateful to each of the candidates and their willingness to share their valuable time with us. Ultimately, we achieved our primary objective of informing and bringing awareness to our community, about the candidates and the issues that will be on the ballot this fall.

Breakfast & Learn - Morning Mingle

On June 12, 2018, the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce had a fantastic turnout of over 40 members at our new monthly Breakfast and Learn - Morning Mingle!
Each attendee had an opportunity to network and hear from our guest speaker, Alan Byrd . Alan is the President and Founder of Alan Byrd & Associates and the program focused on the "Big Fish and the Minor Leagues: Catching the Client of your Dreams.”
We truly appreciate Alan for his informative and engaging presentation. Additionally, we were honored to have our newly sworn-in Orange County Commissioner Rod Love and Apopka City Commissioner Alexander Smith join us!

The Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce hosted June's Business After Hours on June 28th, at the Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs.
This after-hours event is one of the best ways to reach new and returning chamber members, all in one exciting evening! Additionally, the Hilton provided excellent food and refreshments, raffles for a free night stay, gift certificates, and more.
Business After Hours is one of the two complimentary opportunities each month (a total of 24 free opportunities throughout the year), that is included as part of your membership.

Yesterday, marked the first Board of Directors meeting for our new Chairman, Ken Croston Jr. We would like to thank our outgoing Chairwoman Deborah Perez for her incredible leadership and her unwavering support of the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce , over this past year!
Additionally, I want to thank and congratulate Raymond McLeod , David Rankin , Pam Dionne , and Heather Baker , for their countless hours of time, dedication and guidance to this organization over the past twenty-plus years! Each of you will be truly missed and we are grateful for your service! On June 21, 2018, the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce was excited to welcome one of our Board Member's Natalie Arrowsmith and her business, Arrowsmith Realty Inc., to a new location within the Apopka area with a special Ribbon Cutting at their Grand Opening.
Arrowsmith Realty, Inc. is a boutique real estate agency in Apopka, Florida. It was founded by Natalie Arrowsmith, a fourth-generation Floridian and experienced real estate professional. The agency serves real estate customers in Central Florida including the communities of Plymouth, Tangerine, Winter Garden, Gotha, Mount Plymouth, Mt. Dora, Sorrento, Zellwood, and Ocoee.
