The Mayor in partnership with the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce would like to announce the creation of the Let’s Restart Apopka Taskforce. Local businesses and their employees have been severely impacted by the current economic conditions resulting from the COVID-19 virus. The purpose of the taskforce will be to recommend a plan to the City Council for local businesses to reopen in a safe and responsible manner. The taskforce will present guidelines to provide clarity and uniformity for businesses to follow and the public can trust.
The first, virtual meeting will take place on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. For anyone interested in listening into the taskforce discussion, please register here. For any follow-up questions after the meeting, please contact Robert Agrusa at Robert@apopkachamber.org or Mayor Nelson at svancamp@apopka.net.
The Let’s Restart Apopka Taskforce includes a range of industries from the community such as healthcare, finance, insurance, professional services, agriculture, manufacturing, nonprofits, utilities, faith-based, education, tourism and hospitality, recreation, retail, construction and government.
