The Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to host the 2020 Apopka Area Political Hob Nob & Straw Poll on Saturday, July 25, 2020. This event will be presented by the University of Central Florida and it will be free to the public. Plus the entire event will be held outside (rain or shine), underneath the shade of the trees, and will follow all CDC guidelines including the proper social distancing, face coverings/masks, hand sanitization, etc. that is required to host this community event.
Additionally, this event will begin at 9:00 a.m. and be held in conjunction with the grand opening of the brand-new Hilton Garden Inn Apopka City Center, located at 580 E. Main Street, Apopka, FL 32703. This location is significant as this marks the completion of Phase 1 of the Apopka City Center, which is a public-private mixed-use development, and a new landmark for our community.
We are excited to create an opportunity that allows for our community to meet the local, state, and national candidates, while discussing the important campaign issues, and vote in a Straw Poll.
Lastly, the Straw Poll will include the candidates and issues that are vying for the support of the voters in the Apopka area and the Straw Poll results will be announced at the close of the event (and distributed to all media outlets).
