The Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to connect and support the career trajectory of the schools in our school district. There are many ways to partner in the Apopka Area Chamber Business Advisory Council. Please let us know which program offerings you are interested in so we can connect with you for our inaugural meeting in the January.

Annual Business Showcase Event
The Business Advisory Council supports an annual event for our business community to network with students and faculty. This is a great opportunity for all stakeholders to come together to share career and college information.
This is a Business Advisory Council fundraising event to support scholarships and any special curriculum showcase projects.
Guest Speakers
Students and instructors benefit greatly when someone from the business world comes into the classroom and shares their experiences and knowledge about their workplace and career field.
Industry Curriculum Roundtable Support
During quarterly meetings Instructors engage in conversations with business partners to work with classroom instructors and students to provide academic support. The focus is to give “real world” experiences in the workplace and to keep up-to date industry supported curriculum, to encourage the professional development of great future industry professionals.
Our partners share industry knowledge to provide information on career awareness and opportunities in the workplace.
Mentoring
Mentors meet one-on-one with students during the school year and act as supportive listeners, role models and personal coaches. As a mentor you will provide guidance, career exploration, academic assistance, and advice on personal development.
Mentors are screened and trained in a two-hour workshop and make a one-year commitment to a student.
Sponsorships
Sponsorship opportunities are available! Sponsorships are always welcome to support our academic clubs in competitive events at regional, state and national levels. Local businesses are asked to sponsor student-oriented activities by providing in-kind donations and/or financial support.
Depending on the business sector, there are industry clubs that provide invaluable experience for students to compete, collaborate, network, and travel. Sponsorships are a great way to assist with this additional experience and enrichment for area students to participate.
Committee Opportunities
The Executive "committee" is the driving force of the Business Advisory Council. The Executive Committee decides on the focus and initiatives that will best serve the students and the community and support the efforts to getting things done!
