Why did you want to serve on the Board of Directors?
Keeping in touch with the heartbeat of the community is essential to business growth. Serving that community through the chamber is an intricate way to both serve the community and grow our business. Participating through action rather than reaction is the best way to influence the decision making of the leadership of your community.
What is your business philosophy?
Being trust worthy is the most important thing a person or business can have. You can’t buy trust. Meeting commitments creates that trust.
What is your proudest achievement?
That would have to be raising my son to be respectful of others and himself. He knows the difference from right and wrong and applies those differences in his life.
What have you found most valuable about your involvement with the Chamber?
The chamber has taught me so many things it’s hard to make one thing the most valuable. Working with the leadership in the community has given me the insight of how things get done.
What do you think makes the Apopka Area Chamber of Commerce different from other business organizations?
Focusing on what they can do for you, not what you can do for them. They offer free seminars and classes in marketing, computer skills, and many other useful business growing assets. Of course the people who run the chamber are top shelf as well. No business is left out regardless of the size or what you can do for them.
